Mr Henwood receiving a Roll of Honour from Janine Hughes on the occassiona of his retirement.

After many many years as headmaster of the village school Mr. Henwood retired and Mr. M.E. Lewis took over around 1964.

In June 1967 Mr. Henwood died within a few hours of being awarded the MBE for a lifetime’s work for the National Savings movement.
